Event Info

This year's exhibit, "Tabula Rasa", or "Blank Slate," is the Seventh Annual Student Exhibit at the Department of Architecture and represents several years of our students' careful self-reflection, redefinition, and continuing aspiration for excellence in design.  The focus of this exhibit is on the possibilities afforded by the undefined.  "Tabula Rasa," as conceived of by Aristotle and John Locke in respect to the mind, is a blank slate upon which all we become through experience is inscribed.  Our program has allowed students to embrace a multitude of philosophical, theoretical, and practical schools of thought and methods for the realization of architecture, and so the work displayed is not bound by any one worldview, theory, philosophy, or doctrine.  Instead, it is produced via the tabula rasa of its individual creators.

Located at the Department of Architecture in the hallway adjacent to the Joseloff Gallery at the University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06117

Exhibition will continue through 17 April

Exhibit Hours: M - F [10am - 4pm] Sat + Fri [11am - 3pm]
